1What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a site. Tutobox uses them to keep your session signed in, remember your editing preferences and measure service performance anonymously.
Tutobox sets no advertising cookies and uses no third-party tracker for marketing profiling. All session data is kept within the European Union.
2Cookies used on Tutobox
Three categories of cookies are set on the marketing site and the Tutobox application:
- Strictly necessary cookies — essential to the operation of the service: authentication, session security during screen capture or video upload, storing cookie consent. They do not require your prior consent.
- Preference cookies — remember your editor settings (session mode, default export format, display density). You control them from the Settings › Privacy tab of your account.
- Anonymized audience measurement cookies — allow counting the number of visits, identifying the most viewed pages and detecting technical errors. No personal identifier is associated. These cookies are only set after your consent via the banner.
3Detailed inventory

4Manage your consent
You can accept or decline non-strictly-necessary cookies at any time:
- via the consent banner shown on your first visit;
- from your account, in Settings › Privacy, to revoke or adjust your choice;
- by configuring your browser to block or delete cookies (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge help).
Declining preference cookies resets the editor settings on each session. Declining audience cookies has no impact on the service features.
